YPO Gold Pacific Expedition has been thoughtfully designed to enrich the lives of YPO Gold members – in a way that’s unique from traditional YPO chapters and events. Our goal is to deliver an experience tailored for members who no longer need to learn how to build success, because they’ve already reached that pinnacle.
Our members are focused on enriching their lives, exploring novel destinations, nourishing friendships, and discovering new passions.

the distinction

We’re regional, expanding our horizons beyond local chapter geography.
We’re inclusive, welcoming partners and in some circumstances, adult children.
We’re experiential and fun, meeting several times per year over multiple days, in exciting locations throughout the region and beyond.
We’re selective, to ensure a more intimate experience, initially accepting just 40 members and potentially increasing if conditions allow.
We’re educational, offering rich learning opportunities with every exploration.
We’re forum-focused, recognizing that forums are a vital part of the YPO experience, and are offering optional member, spouse, couples, and micro forums.

Santa Fe: A Journey of Culture, Cuisine, and Unforgettable Experiences

24 - 27 September 2024

Our journey through Santa Fe offered an unparalleled blend of flavors, culture, and adventure, capturing the true spirit of this historic city. The culinary experience began at the iconic Coyote Grill, where master mixologists crafted exquisite cocktails that perfectly complemented a private, gourmet dining experience. At Sazon, we indulged in an unforgettable fusion of flavors, with each dish a work of art created by an award-winning chef. We were eager students attending the world-famous Santa Fe Cooking School and learned how to make authentic Santa Fe dishes. The vibrant art scene of Santa Fe came alive during our enchanting Art and Wine Crawl along Canyon Road, as we immersed ourselves in the creativity of local artists while sipping fine wines. Our itinerary also included a rare opportunity to explore the Bandolier indigenous cave dwellings then immerse ourselves the world of nuclear security with an exclusive visit to Los Alamos, guided by an expert in the field. This journey through Santa Fe left us with cherished memories, enriched by its art, history, and unforgettable culinary moments.

HIGHWAY TO THE DANGER ZONE – A Military Experience in San Diego

22 - 25 January 2025

During this unique and thrilling event, we gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to serve in the U.S. military and the realities of military life. "Highway to the Danger Zone" provided valuable insights into San Diego’s vital role in national defense and the importance of a strong military presence during these uncertain times. On the first day, we visited the Naval Special Warfare Base in Coronado, where we learned about the rigorous training required to become a Navy SEAL. On the second day, we toured Naval Air Station North Island, where we explored base life, received an in-depth look at the CVN Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, and learned firsthand about the challenges and responsibilities of the Helicopter Safety and Rescue Team. The event concluded with an up-close experience of the impressive Osprey helicopters.

Vibrant Vista: A Cultural Odyssey Through Mexico City was an unforgettable journey through the heart of Mexico’s lively capital and beyond. We savored the authentic flavors of Mexico City, immersing ourselves in its rich gastronomic culture. We delved into the nation’s deep history at the awe-inspiring archaeological site of Teotihuacan, where the majestic Pyramid of the Sun and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl stand as timeless testaments to a bygone era. Pacific Odyssey: Easter Island, the Amazon and Galapagos

24 August – 6 September 2025

Our chapter embarked on an extraordinary journey through three of the world’s most iconic and remote destinations — Easter Island, the Amazon Rainforest, and the Galápagos Islands. We began in Santiago, Chile, before traveling to the mystical shores of Easter Island. Standing among the legendary moai statues, we explored the island’s captivating history and rich Polynesian heritage, gaining insight into one of the world’s most intriguing cultures. From there, we journeyed into the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. Surrounded by breathtaking biodiversity, we encountered remarkable wildlife and deepened our understanding of the indigenous communities who have stewarded this vital ecosystem for generations. After time to enjoy the beauty and charm of historic Quito, our expedition culminated with an unforgettable cruise aboard the Horizon through the Galápagos Islands. Amid dramatic volcanic landscapes and extraordinary wildlife found nowhere else on earth, we snorkeled alongside sea lions, walked among giant tortoises, and witnessed firsthand the natural wonders that inspired Darwin’s theory of evolution. This remarkable expedition blended culture, adventure, and discovery — a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our Climate vs. The Economy program convened members at Stanford Park Hotel, across the Stanford University campus, and at The Family Farm for two and half immersive days exploring how economic growth and climate solutions can advance together. The experience opened with a compelling fireside conversation between Bob Keefe and Bob Inglis on their personal climate journeys and the role of bipartisan leadership in the United States. Sessions at the Stanford Faculty Club and the Stanford Central Energy Facility brought together leading investors, technologists, and academics to examine capital flows, decarbonization trends, and breakthrough innovations in solar, geothermal, advanced nuclear, and energy systems. The program concluded in Portola Valley with discussions on methane policy, regenerative agriculture, impact investing, and regenerative ranching—highlighting how environmental stewardship and business performance can reinforce one another and advancing a shared commitment to scalable, market-based solutions for a net-positive future.
